The rest of June sees functions on every weekend and my camera working overtime! (might need to retire it afterwards so a new one can be introduced….). Beginning the new financial year, 1st July, some changes are being made to the services we are offering.
I have had my current contract/social media release reviewed by an external business professional and made some necessary changes and additions. I am also implementing packages which include a few different pricing, print and online gallery options. These have been designed to suit most budgets and remain affordable. You can see them here
After consultation with my good friend Lee from Carbon45 design, I have made some basic/initial changes to branding based on her feedback. I have an interest in Mindfullness/Buddhism, therefore I have long referred to the Lotus flower as being significant.
The lotus flower represents one symbol of fortune in Buddhism. It grows in muddy water, and it is this environment that gives forth the flower’s first and most literal meaning: rising and blooming above the murk to achieve enlightenment.
The second meaning, which is related to the first is purification. It resembles the purifying of the spirit which is born into murkiness. The third meaning refers to faithfulness. Those who are working to rise above the muddy waters will need to be faithful followers.
The color bears importance in the meaning of the lotus flower in Buddhism. The blue lotus flower refers to the common sense; it uses wisdom and logic to create enlightenment.
Recently I have started using a client management system (CMS). This details all my clients, bookings, payments and a referral/gift system. This will help me track any referrals I have offered and how much discount is to be applied to future bookings.
Lastly, our business name is a great topic of conversation! After debate amongst family members as to whether I should be using my own name, I have decided to stick with what I am using. The letters are representation of the names of the most important people to me. They are involved in decision making, feedback (constructive and otherwise!!), venturing out with me to scout locations, seeking business opportunities and overall unwavering support while I make mistakes, grow, and learn. It’s here to stay!
